Minneapolis/St Paul Intl Airport (MSP)
Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport (MSP)
Welcome to the Minneapolis/St.Paul International Airport!
MSP is located 10 miles from downtown Minneapolis and downtown Saint Paul. It is considered one of the largest and busiest airports in the upper west mid-region of the United States. Located in a portion of Hennepin County, Minnesota outside of any city or school district, with ten miles of both downtown Minneapolis and downtown Saint Paul.
There are many dining amenities throughout the airport, such as Starbucks and even Subways and a burger joint that are open 24/7. If you have extra time to spare, there is an observation deck with a panoramic view of the airport.
In need of a book to read for your flight? Well, you are in luck. There is a bookstore called Red Balloon Books where you can find whatever you are looking for.
MSP interconnects with several other forms of transportation. Several large parking ramps are available for cars. Most other connections are made at the Hub Building and adjacent Transit Center, which has city and shuttle bus, taxi, light-rail and rental car service. Two trams are at the airport. One carries passengers from the main section of Lindbergh Terminal 1 to the Hub Building.
MSP does not provide hotel stays when a flight is canceled or delayed. However, they do provide mattress and pillows, so you can sleep inside the airport. The most convenient hotel would be the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Bloomington West.
